Hey everyone. I wanted to know if the hockey rink on Ave f and mcdonald is a public rink or private because I went to practice on a Saturday and the was closed. Any suggestions because me and my team want to practice there.

I'd like to know exactly what the story is with this rink as well. Is it locked? Is it on parkland? I haven't actually been there, but have viewed it on Google satellite pictures. It looks link it is a pretty good size, but its not really clear what the surface is like. Patrick was the last person trying to organize something there. Maybe he can answer these questions.

Well I don't know how to get in touch with him. But when I was there it was closed by a lock. The field is okay not the best. If this is a public rink I figure it should be open. Though I heard about another rink in gravesend park.

It's such B-Shit man... they haven't been opening it in about 4 weeks... but people clip the lock ever since they've been locking it all day....Thats how we've been playing........ I was there today (3/2) and it was locked again, and this time they locked it high up at the top of the gate so some hockey fellas dont clip it again.... Maybe they dont open it for the winter months? Well anyway, I was in there skating today, but you have to crawl through a hole in the fence in the handball courts to get in. Its really fvckin annoying to see the park workers doing shit all day... i watched them while I was skating today... They saw me in there.... and to top it all off, there is tons of garbage in the hockey benches..... which i cleaned up today.... I lined up 15 full garbage bags against the fence after i got bored skating by myself lol..... Its a shame.... there are so many bums over there too... a bunch of drunks... whats with that neighborhood???... I called 311 to report that they dont open it anymore, but the useless moron on the phone couldnt help me because i didnt know the name of the park.... I think the name of the park is "Di Giulio" or "Di Gilgio" or some shit... everyone should call.. its fvcked up.

Yea man, that would be good... Also make a complaint online!! I just found this:

http://www.nycgovpark...

1- The ring is locked during park hours

2- It looks like a garbage dump.
